New Magazine Uniquely Blends Two Popular Methods Into the Ultimate Scrapbooking Experience

HIGHLAND, UT November 21, 2006 – Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine announces the release of its Premiere Issue (early 2007) which is aimed at combining the long-standing traditions of paper scrapbooking with the ease and appeal of its ever-growing digital counterpart. Many people are very interested in reaping the benefits of both sides of the scrapbooking market and have learned how to get the best of both worlds!  A "hybrid" or "tradigi" scrapbooker finds unique and practical ways to make the best use of all tools and products, and the results can be absolutely amazing!  Scrapbook Dimensions is the first magazine to provide focused inspiration and education covering this "hybrid" approach to scrapbooking.

Co-editors Cindy Wyckoff and Deanna Shain (digital and traditional scrapbookers, respectively) have combined their vast experience with their love of this hobby to launch a truly unique and innovative magazine. This magazine will provide project ideas, informative articles, layout gallery inspiration, how-to tips and techniques, and product reviews for bridging the gap between these two seemingly different but very complementary approaches to scrapbooking. "We touch on all areas of interest to both traditional and digital scrappers showing how fun and easy it is to save time on layouts by using the computer but still keeping a hands-on approach to add to the creative process,“ Wyckoff said.

For more information about Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine visit their website at www.scrapbookdimensions.com. While at the site you can you can request a free copy of the upcoming Premiere Issue.

Boxer Scrapbooks Acquires Flip Flop Fastener Product Line

Tualatin, OR (November 20, 2006) -- Boxer Scrapbook Productions has announced their acquisition of the Flip Flop Fasteners product line from Destination Scrapbook Designs.  The acquisition was completed this week, and Boxer will begin selling the product immediately.

Flip Flop Fasteners are clear, archivally-safe poly fasteners used to create moving elements on a scrapbook page, without adding any bulk or weight.  The product was a finalist in the 2005 Craftrends Magazine Awards of Excellence for the adhesive category.

“Flip Flop Fasteners will be an excellent addition to our line of products,” says Angie Warhurst, co-owner of Boxer Scrapbook Productions.  “We started using them in conjunction with some of our products during classes and workshops, and wanted to be able to offer them to our customers.  We have had an on-going friendship with Destination Scrapbook Designs, and because we attend more consumer-oriented shows than they do, we offered to acquire the line to get better distribution and consumer awareness for the product.  Once a scrapper uses them, they become a regular tool in their scrapbooking efforts.”

Boxer Scrapbook Productions will offer Flip Flop Fasteners as part of their product offerings at the CHA show in Anaheim, California, January 28-31, 2007.  The company is owned by Vicki and Angie Warhurst, and was formed in 2001.  All of the company’s products are sold direct to retail stores, both nationally and internationally.

ProvoCraft Issues Product Recall

Via Salt Lake Tribune:

Provo Craft & Novelty Inc. recently recalled four scrapbooking-related products sold between August 2005 and June [2006], specifically the rob and bob studio™ snap-ease jewels and clip-ease brand names. The snap-ease jewels were sold as 18 jeweled fasteners on paper sheets. The clip-ease dual dispenser set was sold as 9 small and 7 large painted metal clips and 2 clip dispensers labeled “rob and bob studio™” in clear plastic packaging. The clip-ease small refills were sold as 100 small painted metal clips in clear plastic packaging. The clip-ease large refills were sold as 50 large painted metal clips in clear plastic packaging. All packaging was marked with the company’s “PC” logo and “rob and bob studio™”.  The affected part numbers are 28-1080, 28-1084, 28-1085, and 28-1086.

The Clip-ease and Snap-ease products were found to contain elevated levels of lead, which can pose a serious health risk to children if they are chewed on or swallowed. Consumers should discontinue use immediately and ensure that the Clip-ease and Snap-ease are not accessible by children.

The company is not aware of any adverse incidents having been reported as a result of the products’ use to date, but is voluntarily recalling them "in order to ensure the safety of our customers and the public."
