CHA Summer: Basic Grey

Scrapbook pages will catch some air with the hip, carved out patterns of BasicGrey's new Skate Shoppe paper line. Stoked with funky, fresh blues and greens, the distinctive "BG grunge" is flying high in these patterns. With Skate Shoppe, your next scrapbook page may do a "rhino grind pop ollie biff on the bumps!"

Fusion, Lucky and Skate Shoppe also feature our popular cardstock diecut alphabet letters, diecut tags, printed monograms, and coordinated fibers, and matchbook mini album kits are available in Fusion and Lucky.

BasicGrey is also debuting a charming, unique and simply delightful spin on mini albums. There is no doubt that scrappers are crazy for small scale albums, but we have created an "album" that goes beyond the tried and true accordion book, tag book, or mini journal. The Lunch Pail Album measures approximately 6"x8"x3", and the Lunch Pail Kit include six tabbed dividers, 12 stock pages, and 40 chipboard diecut elements. The new Lunch Pail Album is definitely one-of-a-kind!

BasicGrey's new Wholy Cow! Rub-Ons (Baby theme shown right) are available in ten themes and two alphabets (including BasicGrey's popular sticker font). Each sheet is overflowing with inventive and unusual design elements, box seals, words, definitions, bar codes, and graphics. With themes ranging from babies, to holidays, to the four seasons, the artistic possibilities are endless! Wholly Cow Rub-Ons are made of high-quality, durable material, are acid and lignin free, and come in black, white and gun metal grey.

BasicGrey has dressed down its printed monogram alphabet, offering these ever-popular letters in a quality chipboard diecut collection. Packaged in a clam shell, each Undressed Monogram set comes with 26 alphabet letters and one symbol, all measuring approximately 3" tall and the thickness of a puzzle piece. They can be painted, embossed, inked, or covered-the creative prospects for these chipboard monograms are unlimited!

The Fusion and Lucky paper lines feature a unique and adorable Matchbook Mini Album Kit (shown left, in Fusion). Measuring approximately 4"x41/2" (finished), the kits are dual printed and diecut on heavy weight cardstock and include a cover, seven insert sheets, and an assortment of matching embellishments. Each kit is printed on both sides of a 12"x25" sheet of cardstock, which is folded in half and easily stores in a paper bin. Because they are dual printed, countless combinations can be created from one kit!

San Antonio Scrapbooking Reality Show

In association with JimPark Productions, PrimaDonna Productions is producing a local (San Antonio, TX) reality series all about scrapbooks, called "Scrappers!" Expect some surprises and maybe some sparks, between designers, when new ideas come up last minute, supply substitutions are made...and creative left turns are taken.

Each weekly episode comes to you in five 5-minute broadcast-quality videos delivered via the Internet -- one each day Monday-Friday.  It's like a television series you watch on your computer -- but on your own schedule!

Photo Contest Prize Going To The Dogs

Pat Lawson, a recent photo contest winner at Expressions Photo Boutique, is donating her prize to Canine Companions for Independence, a national nonprofit organization.

Keyport, NJ (PRWEB) July 21, 2005 -- In a landslide victory, Pat Lawson, wins a monthly photography contest at Expressions Photo Boutique. The victory raised speculation from not only other finalists, but also contest host, Jill Caren. "Our site is new and relatively small, so for someone in one of our contests to get 395 votes, it definitely raised some eyebrows," states Caren.

Caren, owner of Expressions Photo Design & Boutique, contacted Pat Lawson and got the full story as to how Bear became leader of the pack to finish first in the "Most Patriotic Pet" contest. "This was the most wonderful story for me as a website owner and an animal lover," states Caren.

Bear is currently in his last few weeks of training to become a Canine Companion for Independence Assistance Dog. He will graduate on August 20th with his new partner in life. "Winning this contest is a great honor for him," states Ms. Lawson. The prize, a custom Photo Handbag, will be used at a silent auction at a Dog Days of Summer Golf Classic in September. The handbag will have a picture of her next CCI puppy, Miller, printed on it. "We are so thrilled that something so wonderful and unexpected has come from this contest," states Caren, "it is rare the we even get a thank you from contest winners, so this was a welcome surprise that brought tears to my eyes."
