On Build a Better Blog, Denise Wakeman writes:
Most people write a post and that’s the end of it. You’re probably syndicating your blog feed to the usual places: Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, at the very least. And that’s a good thing.
Yet there are many other ways to get more mileage out of your content.
She goes on to explain how to find another purpose for ("repurpose") the content you've already written for your blog - specifically for article directories, document sharing sites, and audio recordings/podcasts. I have to admit I don't do nearly enough repurposing of content. The idea of reformatting for document sharing sites (such as Docshare and Scribd) was one that hadn't occurred to me. Denise points out that Scribd "has tens of millions of readers every month who read and download documents from the site." It makes good sense to put your content before that ready-made audience.
